■DRD (DRD14000–25000)
The DRD (Durability Roller Drag) is an entirely new drag mechanism designed to withstand repeated long runs from large fish, preventing wear damage and seizing under high-drag conditions.
Unlike conventional drags that use carbon washers, the DRD washer features a single metal plate equipped with eight metal rollers. This structure minimizes drag force reduction caused by friction heat, delivering over five times the durability of carbon washers (based on Daiwa comparison tests). Additionally, it contributes to exceptionally smooth drag initiation.

■LC-ABS SW
The LC-ABS system optimizes the spool ring shape to enable smooth line release.
The LC-ABS SW further enhances this by adopting a dual-taper design on the upper side of the spools line-winding section, directing it toward the spool ring.
This design reduces frictional resistance between the line and spool, particularly when the line is released from deeper diameters, providing a smoother casting feel and improving line release performance in the latter part of the cast.
This feature is especially effective when using thicker lines, where the winding diameter significantly changes during casting, contributing to approximately 2% longer casting distance – supporting anglers desire to cast farther.
